In Boca, the website is not the pitch. It is the reason you get to make one.
Law, medicine, dentistry, wealth management, consulting, and the specialist practices around them. Boca is a city of firms rather than shops, and firms are chosen by people who research quietly and never tell you they did.
What actually happens before someone calls you
This is a real sequence, and it runs almost identically for a dentist, an attorney and a financial adviser. Every step is a place you can be eliminated without ever knowing it happened.
They get your name from a person they trust
A neighbour, a colleague, another professional. At this moment you are winning, and everything that follows is you either holding that position or losing it quietly.
They search your name, not your service
Not "Boca Raton estate attorney" but your actual name. What comes back is your site, your reviews, your listing and anything else carrying your name. This is the search that decides it, and almost nobody optimises for it.
They spend under a minute deciding whether you are real
Is this a current practice or an abandoned page. Is there a person here. Does what you say you do match what they were told. A stock photograph of a handshake answers none of these.
They compare you to one other name
There is almost always a second recommendation. You are not competing against the whole market, you are competing against exactly one other firm, and the difference is usually specificity rather than polish.
Boca's particular problem: everyone looks expensive
In most towns a well-made site is a visible advantage. Here it is table stakes, and the differentiation has to come from somewhere else.
Polish has stopped being a signal
When every firm on Glades Road has a competent site with confident photography, none of them stand out and the visitor falls back on whatever is concrete. Named people, actual credentials, real case detail, plain answers about cost and process. Vagueness reads as evasion in a market this well presented.
The one thing most Boca sites refuse to do
Say who you are for and who you are not. A practice that names its clients precisely, "we work with business owners selling a company they have run for twenty years," beats one claiming to serve everybody. Narrowing feels dangerous and it is the single most reliable way to win the comparison.
What we build for a Boca practice
Less than you might expect, arranged around a decision that is made quietly.
A page that survives your own name being searched
Your name, the practice, the credentials and the reviews all lining up in the results. If someone recommends you and the search returns an incoherent picture, the recommendation dies there.
Real people, photographed properly
You, your partners, your actual office. We shoot it rather than buying it. In a market where every competitor bought the same library, being visibly real is the cheapest advantage available.
Process and cost, stated without flinching
What happens at the first meeting, how long things take, roughly what it costs and how you charge. Firms avoid this and clients want it more than anything else on the page.
An enquiry route that does not leak
A form that reaches a person, an acknowledgement that goes out immediately, and something that answers out of hours. A referral that arrives at nine on a Friday night should not be waiting until Monday.
We do not have a Boca client yet
You will find plenty of agencies whose Boca page implies a local office and a roster of local firms. Ours does not, because we have not built for a Boca Raton business yet. The closest thing in spirit is up the coast, and it is the right one to judge us on.
Empress Realty, Palm Beach
Broker-led brandA brokerage where the entire proposition is one named professional and her judgement, in a market that judges presentation harshly. Strict palette, no stock imagery, and a site built to make a serious person look serious rather than to look busy. That is the same problem a Boca practice has.
Questions from Boca Raton firms
Almost all our work is referral. What does a website change?
The conversion of referrals you already have. Nobody here acts on a recommendation without looking you up, and what they find either confirms it or quietly undermines it. You are protecting introductions you already earned.
Our competitors all have expensive sites. Do we have to match them?
You have to not lose in the ten seconds someone spends comparing, which is usually about specifics rather than budget. A great many expensive Boca sites say remarkably little.
Can you work within professional compliance rules?
Yes, when you tell us what they are. If your board, bar or insurer restricts testimonials, claims or disclaimers, that gets built in. What we will not do is invent a claim to make a page read better.
Does it matter that you are 45 minutes away?
Rarely, for a practice. The work is conversations, drafts and reviews. We drive down for the first meeting because that is worth doing properly, and after that the distance stops mattering.
Search your own name, then let us talk
Do it before you book anything. Put your own name into Google the way a referral would and look at what comes back. Half an hour and I will tell you which parts of that are worth fixing and which are fine as they are.
